Guys, tripped over the podcast yesterday and have listed intently to the first four episodes..invigorating and you've already got my mind racing with new ideas. Great stuff!
As a relative ls newbie (ie, I don't use ls classes), how can I learn more about this stuff and the benefits over my "oh so traditional techniques"?
@guttedgeek - Thanks for the feedback. In my opinion, Thomas Bahn and Bernd Hort over at assonos are two of the best OOP ("object oriented programming") developers in our industry niche; I highly recommend checking out the presentation slides and example database Thomas posted from his ILUG 2008 session:
http://www.assono.de/blog/d6plinks/ILUG2008-simply-OOP-simply
He explains in a very approachable way what OOP is and why it makes your applications better and your job easier.
Thanks Tim, heading there now! :)
